Gary Jung is an experienced professional in the field of high-performance computing and scientific information technology. Currently serving as the ScienceIT Department Head and leading various groups at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory since 2003, Gary is also an HPC Advisor at CIQ - Ctrl IQ, Inc. and a Science IT Advisory Board member at Chan Zuckerberg Biohub. At UC Berkeley, Gary holds multiple positions, including HPC General Manager and Principal Investigator for the Cal HPCC program. Additionally, Gary contributed to the Bentley School as a Board of Trustees member from 2012 to 2018. Gary earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from San Francisco State University and furthered education at UCLA.
