Igor Chirikov is a seasoned academic with extensive experience in institutional research and higher education administration. Currently serving as the SERU Consortium Director and Senior Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley since June 2014, Igor also holds the position of Managing Director for SERU-I. Concurrently, since February 2008, Igor has been a Senior Research Fellow and Deputy First Vice Rector at the National Research University - Higher School of Economics, where Igor also established the Institutional Research Office. Igor Chirikov earned a PhD in Sociology from the Higher School of Economics (2009-2013), a Master of Arts in Sociology from Stanford University (2012), and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the Higher School of Economics (2003-2007).
