Jack J. McCauley is an experienced innovator and engineer currently serving as an Innovator in Residence at UC Berkeley's Jacobs Institute of Design Innovation. McCauley holds the position of Board Trustee at the RAND Corporation, where expertise is applied to drug policy innovation. As a board member of the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute and the Asia Society, contributions to academic and cultural development are evident. Previous roles include engineering positions at R0R3 Devices and McCauley Labs, as well as co-founder and Chief Engineer at Oculus VR, where advancements in virtual reality products were made. McCauley began an extensive career in consulting with prominent organizations such as adidas and Electronic Arts Canada following an academic background in Electronics and Circuit Theory from the University of California, Berkeley, and training in reactor design from the US Navy Nuclear Power School.
