Laleh Shayesteh

Laleh Shayesteh is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in intellectual property management and administration, primarily at the University of California, Berkeley, since May 2016, where roles have included Director of Intellectual Property and Administration. Previous experience includes positions at SRI International, where responsibilities included management of all aspects of intellectual property as Assistant General Counsel, and at Exelixis as Senior Patent Agent, focusing on patent application processes and employee education on IP. Additionally, Laleh has a strong scientific research background, with roles as Research Scientist and Graduate Student at UCSF, and has contributed to the establishment of research labs at the University of Chicago Medicine and UCSF. Laleh holds a Juris Doctor from Purdue Global Law School, a Ph.D. in Biophysics from the University of California, San Francisco, a Master's Degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from San Francisco State University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Biological Sciences and Chemistry from California State University - East Bay.
