Nicodemo Ciccia is a PhD candidate in Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on the upcycling of polyolefins through the catalytic functionalization of C–H bonds. Concurrently, Nicodemo serves as a Graduate Student Instructor for Organic Chemistry. Prior experience includes roles as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Organic Chemistry I & II at Princeton University, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in both the Carrow group, studying carbon-centered radicals, and the Swager group, optimizing carbon nanotube sensors. Nicodemo obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Princeton University and graduated from Phillips Academy with a high school diploma.
