Leon Bergen is an accomplished academic and industry advisor, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Linguistics and Computer Science (by courtesy) at UC San Diego since 2017, while also advising at Ferrum Health, Inc. Since 2022, Leon Bergen has held roles as a Visiting Research Scientist at both Google and X, the moonshot factory. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral researcher position at Stanford University from 2016 to 2017. Leon Bergen earned a PhD in Brain and Cognitive Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2015 and completed undergraduate studies at Swarthmore College from 2005 to 2009.
