Melba Tirado

Melba Tirado is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community engagement, public relations, and training across various organizations. As the owner of Novoa Communications/NovoArts since 2007, Melba has focused on supporting special events, environmental justice, and diversity initiatives in the Greater San Diego area. In addition, Melba serves as a Corporate Training Consultant at the University of California, San Diego, improving communication strategies for medical students. Previous roles include Workability I Coordinator for the Carlsbad Unified School District, Community Engagement Manager for the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, and Senior Community Relations Supervisor at North County Transit District. Melba also has a rich background in nonprofit leadership and media production, holding a Master of Arts in Communication Management from the University of Southern California and various management certificates.
