Gowtham Dammalapati began their work experience as a Database Administrator at Tek Services, LLC in December 2011. Gowtham then moved on to PennDOT (Pennsylvania Department of Transportation) as a Database Administrator from April 2012 to February 2014. Gowtham then worked as a Database Administrator at McGraw-Hill from February 2014 to November 2014. Next, Gowtham joined the Minnesota Department of Transportation as a Database Administrator in February 2015 until August 2017. Since then, they have been employed at UCare, where they started as a Database Administrator in August 2017, then progressed to the position of Senior Database Administrator in February 2020, and currently holds the role of Lead Database Administrator as of September 2021.

Gowtham Dammalapati completed a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from SUNY New Paltz from 2010 to 2011.
