Robert Fink

Director, Berry Gordy Music Industry Center at UCLA

Robert Fink serves as the inaugural Director of the Berry Gordy Music Industry Center at UCLA, overseeing professionalization and research in the music industry since 1998. Fink also holds the position of Professor and Chair of the Musicology & Music Industry department, managing various administrative tasks, and has chaired multiple committees focused on curriculum, faculty governance, and program administration within the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. Previous academic roles include a visiting associate professorship at Yale University and an assistant professorship at the University of Rochester. Fink holds a Ph.D. in Musicology from the University of California, Berkeley and multiple master's degrees in Music Theory and Composition from the Eastman School of Music, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Yale University.
