Scott Hassler

Scott Hassler currently serves as the Senior Director of Foundation Relations and Corporate Philanthropy at the University of California, Los Angeles, a position held since December 2020. In addition to this role, Scott has been an instructor for the Environmental Earth Science class at the University of California, Berkeley Extension since 1992. Prior experience includes serving as the Foundation Relations Officer at The Wilderness Society from August 2011 to June 2020, managing diverse foundation donor portfolios and developing strategic proposals. From December 2000 to July 2011, Scott held dual roles at John F. Kennedy University, first as Manager of Advancement Services, where efforts focused on data integrity and reporting capabilities, and then as Director of Grants and Research, overseeing prospect identification and research for grant proposals. Scott holds an A.B. in Geology from Oberlin College and has pursued further education in Geological Sciences at UC Santa Barbara since 1991.
