With over a decade of experience in the industry, we are on the front lines, working to accelerate the transition to clean energy. Our team is growing quickly, and we seek talented and motivated individuals to join our Legal team.
The Paralegal will play a crucial role in supporting our project teams by reviewing, drafting, preparing, and managing a variety of legal documents and agreements related to commercial and community-scale solar and battery storage projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate, construction, finance, and contract law, with specific experience in the renewable energy sector being a plus.
Located in the NY area and available to come into the office as needed.
Reporting Relationships
The Paralegal will report directly to the General Counsel.
Responsibilities
Support the Legal Department with the following responsibilities:
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.
Solid understanding of real estate contracts, supplier contracts, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts, and project finance contracts.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in real estate, construction, or renewable energy sectors.
Strong understanding of contract law, real estate law, and zoning regulations.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in legal research and document preparation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint and Excel.
Familiar with one or more contract management software systems, i.e., Linksquares, Trackado, etc.
