Susan Perera

Susan Perera has extensive legal experience, currently serving as the Deputy General Counsel at UnitedHealth Group since January 2013, where previous roles included Senior Associate General Counsel and Associate General Counsel. Prior to this, Susan worked as an Intellectual Property Associate at Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A. from January 2010 to January 2013, and as a Contract Attorney while self-employed from March 2009 to December 2010. Susan's legal career began with a Summer Associate position at Merchant & Gould in 2008, alongside roles as a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota from 2005 to 2007. Susan holds an Executive Education certificate from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, a JD from the University of Minnesota Law School, a BS in Biochemistry from the University of St. Thomas, and an MS in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology and Genetics from the University of Minnesota.
