Ghazala Rubi

Ghazala Rubi is an experienced Molecular Biologist currently serving as the Director of the Central Research Lab and Head of Molecular Genetics Pathology at Lahore General Hospital & Post Graduate Medical Institute since April 2016. Notably, Ghazala established Lahore's first COVID-19 RT-PCR Lab in March 2020, completing 325,000 tests across six waves of COVID-19. Previous roles include Consultant Molecular Pathologist at Aga Khan University Hospital (2013-2016), where responsibilities included supervising staff and managing new molecular testing initiatives, and extensive academic roles at the University of Health Sciences Lahore. Ghazala holds a PhD in Human Genetics and Molecular Biology, along with multiple degrees from prestigious institutions, including the University of Surrey and the University of Bradford UK.
