Michael Friesen

Michael Friesen is an experienced archivist with a solid background in archival practices and research assistance. Currently serving as an Archivist at the UJA Federation of Greater Toronto since March 2017, Michael has also held various positions, including Acquisitions Archivist. Prior experience includes roles at Sunnybrook as a Research Assistant and at Women's College Hospital, alongside independent contracting at the University of Toronto. Michael has contributed as a Digital Archivist for The Free Methodist Church in Canada and worked in digitization roles for The United Church of Canada. Educational achievements include a Master of Information in Archives and Records Management from the University of Toronto and a Master of Arts in English from The University of British Columbia, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the same institution.
