Richard Newman is an experienced electrical engineer with a diverse background in power systems and design. Currently serving as a Power Quality Engineer and previously as an Electrical Design Engineer at UK Power Networks since November 2011, Richard has also held significant roles at British Power International as a Principal Electrical Design Engineer, and at Rolls-Royce plc as a Principal Technologist in Electrical Systems. Earlier experience includes positions as Electrical Applications Engineer at Alstom Gas Turbines and Senior Research Engineer at BSRIA. Richard Newman holds an MSc in Electrical Power Systems from the University of Bath and a BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Nottingham.
