Omer has over 20 years of experience in computational biology. Prior to joining Ultima, Omer served as the CTO and VP of R&D at NRGene and led the development of cutting-edge tools in the fields of complex de novo genome assembly, genomics big data and population genetics. Omer is an inventor on numerous patents and lead author of over 15 scientific articles. Omer holds a BSc in Physics & Computer Science from Tel Aviv University, an MSc in Physics and a PhD in Life Science, both from the Weizmann Institute of Science.
