Ultima Genomics
Vinay Poodari is a Senior Research Associate at Ultima Genomics since October 2019, with prior experience as a Research Associate and Laboratory Technician. Vinay's expertise includes designing In Vitro Transcription RNA constructs and optimizing library preparation using the MinION sequencing platform during a tenure as a Staff Research Associate at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Earlier experiences include working as a Student Programmer for the UC Santa Cruz Nanopore Group, where Vinay updated a QC tool for MinION sequencers and improved its functionality. A foundational role as a Student Researcher on the UCSC iGEM Team involved researching Haloferax volcanii metabolism and developing gene constructs.
