Jacob currently works as a Freelance Software Engineer, specializing in web development and consulting using various technologies such as TypeScript, React, Vue, Angular, .Net Core, PHP, CMS, and Shopify. Prior to their freelance work, Jacob served as a Team Lead and Frontend Architect at Umbraco. Jacob also held roles at IMPACT Commerce, where they worked as a Technology Lead and Tech Lead, building e-commerce websites using Sitecore and Umbraco. In addition, Jacob has experience as a Senior Software Developer and Software Architect at SmartWeb.dk, where they utilized PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other development tools. Jacob co-founded Denofevil Hosting I/S early in their career.

Jacob Overgaard attended Erhvervsakademi Aarhus | Business Academy Aarhus from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained an Associate's Degree in Computer Science. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2007, they attended Struer Erhvervsskole and completed their High School education with a focus on HTX. In 2020, Jacob Overgaard also obtained a certification as an Umbraco Certified Master from Umbraco.
