Colin Helgeson is a Project Engineer at UMC since September 2022, responsible for assisting project managers in the financial success of mechanical systems projects across a 25-building life sciences campus, managing an average of 40 concurrent projects. Previously, Colin served as a Campus Ministry Assistant at St. Augustine High School for a post-graduate service year, coordinating various retreats and engineering projects, and supervising service trips. Colin's experience includes a Senior Design Project at Gonzaga University, which involved optimizing the heat treatment process for Buck Knives, as well as roles in residence life, where training and managing Resident Assistants, fostering community, and implementing departmental improvements were key responsibilities. Colin holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Gonzaga University, complemented by a study abroad experience in Florence.
