Malinda Matney

Malinda Matney has extensive experience in educational development and assessment, currently serving as the Managing Director of Educational Development and Assessment Services at the University of Michigan's Center for Research on Learning and Teaching since July 2000. Responsibilities include collaboration with faculty and campus units on curricular development, assessment of student learning, and evaluation of educational initiatives. Matney also holds the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor, teaching courses related to research and educational practice. Previous roles include Director of Assessment and Senior Research Associate at the Center, focusing on assessment capacity and research in student affairs. Additional experience includes serving as Research Associate at the National Center for Postsecondary Improvement and as Living Center Director at the Kansas City Art Institute. Matney holds a Ph.D. in Higher and Postsecondary Education from the University of Michigan and additional degrees in Higher Education Administration, Music Literature and History, and Music and Mathematics from various institutions.
