Venkat Viswanathan

Venkat Viswanathan is an accomplished academic and industry leader specializing in energy innovation and battery technology. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Michigan, Venkat is focused on launching an electric aviation battery program. As a Technical Consultant at QuantumScape, Venkat advises the Science Advisory Committee and contributes technical expertise. Co-founding multiple organizations including Aionics, Inc., And Battery Aero, Chement Co., and Ionworks, Venkat is dedicated to advancing a decarbonized global economy through innovative materials. Venkat previously held faculty positions at Carnegie Mellon University, where involvement included roles as an Associate Professor and Faculty Fellow at the Scott Institute for Energy Innovation.
