Filip Vandeputte is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in sustainability and environmental management. Currently serving as Head of Environment & Energy at Umicore since November 2022, Filip previously held the position of Sustainability Lead at Baloise Insurance from December 2021 to November 2022. Prior to that, a significant tenure at DEME Group saw Filip advance from Sustainability Manager to Department Manager for Environment and Regulatory Affairs, as well as QHSE Manager and Environmental Compliance Manager at DEME Environmental Contractors from 2002 to 2017. Educational qualifications include an Executive Course in Sustainability Studies from Nyenrode Business Universiteit, an MBA from EHSAL Management School, a Master after Master in Environmental Science & Technology from Ghent University, and a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from HOGENT.
