John C. Wells

John C. Wells has extensive experience in the banking industry, currently serving as Senior Vice President and Senior Credit Officer for Commercial Real Estate, as well as Managing Director of the Multifamily Division at Umpqua Bank since December 2014. Prior to this role, John held various senior positions at Mechanics Bank from May 2008 to March 2014, including Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer. Experience also includes senior leadership roles at City National Bank, US Bank, and Bank One, among others, starting from December 1997 at SANWA Bank California. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Marketing Concentration from California State University-Sacramento and graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School in 2011 with a Masters-Level education in Banking.
