Carla Calistri has extensive experience in international policy and planning, currently serving as the Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the New York Office at the UN Environment Programme since November 2016. Prior to this role, Calistri held various positions, including Special Assistant to the Economy Division Director at the same organization, Senior Policy and Planning Officer at OSCE from June 2010 to September 2016, and Gender Consultant for the municipality of Viterbo in early 2010. Calistri's career includes serving as Head of Project Office and Field Officer at OSCE from October 2007 to October 2008, and as Head of Mission and Regional Coordinator for the Balkans at INTERSOS from June 2005 to July 2007. Academic qualifications include an Advanced Degree in Political Science from Sapienza Università di Roma and a Postgraduate Degree in International Relations and Affairs from Luiss Guido Carli University.
