Rose Mweboza is a highly experienced professional in environmental law and management, currently serving as the Director of the UN Climate Technology Centre and Network since August 2019. Mweboza has held key positions at the African Development Bank as Chief of Natural Resources Management and at UNDP in various roles including Programme Management Adviser and Regional Policy Adviser for Climate Change. Mweboza also served as a Senior Legal Adviser in Environmental Security at the Institute for Security Studies and as Deputy Dean and Senior Lecturer at Makerere University's School of Law. Mweboza holds a Ph.D. in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law from Macquarie University, a Master’s degree in International Comparative Law from the University of Florida, and a Bachelor's degree in Law from Makerere University.
