Naomi Hoogervorst is a Programme Management Officer at UN-Habitat, responsible for the Planning, Finance and Economy Section, which coordinates the agency's work on sustainable human settlements. With experience as a Senior Urban Planner managing the Prosperity Fund Global Future Cities Programme and as an Urban Planner in Afghanistan's City for All Programme, Naomi provides strategic advice and capacity development in urban governance. Previously, Naomi served as an Urban Planner for the International New Town Institute and DASUDA, and founded Stichting Placemakers to promote inclusive urban spaces. An architect by training, Naomi has held various roles in architecture and urban research, holding a Master’s degree in Architecture from Delft University of Technology and participating in the UN Secretariat Executive Management Programme.
