Olafiyin Taiwo MRTPI is an experienced planning professional currently serving as an Expert in Governance and Planning and Minutes Secretary for the Wales Net Zero 2035 Challenge Group at the Wales Centre for Public Policy since January 2023. Since April 2020, Olafiyin has co-chaired the Planners for Climate Action initiative within UN-Habitat and concurrently holds leadership roles as Chair and Convener of the Young Planners Network with the Commonwealth Association of Planners. As a Planning Consultant for a Local Planning Authority since April 2018, Olafiyin also serves as International Director and Co-founder of LIFE BROOKS INTERNATIONAL since December 2012. Previous roles include Senior Policy Officer at Bolton Council and Planner/Project Consultant for Alderley Edge Parish Council. Olafiyin’s academic credentials feature a Master of Science in Planning and Environmental Management from the University of Manchester, an LLM in International Law and International Relations from the University of Kent, and a fellowship in Environmental, Social, and Governance from Cambridge Judge Business School.
