Dee Russell-Thomas

Dee Russell-Thomas serves as the Deputy Lieutenant of Gloucestershire at Gloucestershire County Council since April 2021, while also holding the position of Associate Inspector with the Knowledge & Human Development Authority, inspecting schools and colleges in Dubai. With extensive experience as an Inspector for the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Education and British Schools Overseas, Dee's consultancy work through DGRT Educational Consultancy Ltd. focuses on school inspections and training across the UK and globally. Additionally, roles include Executive Director for Strategy and Partnership for the “Water for Life” project, UN Women UK delegate to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, and various board and leadership positions within charitable organizations. Dee has delivered training for the British Council and Creative Education Ltd., supporting educational improvement across multiple levels. Educational qualifications encompass a Bachelor of Education with Honours from Newcastle University, multiple Master's degrees from the University of Bristol, and ongoing research at the University of Gloucestershire.
