João Godinho

João Godinho is an experienced AI Research Engineer with a strong background in artificial intelligence and software development. At Unbabel since February 2019, João has progressed from Junior AI Research Engineer to Senior AI Research Engineer, contributing to the improvement of machine translation models and developing systems for transcription restoration using Conditional Random Fields. Prior to Unbabel, João worked as a Software Developer at Xpand IT, where a cross-platform mobile application was created to enhance television remote control functionality. João's academic credentials include a Master's degree in Information Systems and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and a Bachelor's degree in Informatics Engineering from Universidade de Coimbra.
