Matthew Gercak

Matthew Gercak is an IT Security Analyst and Part-Time Instructor at the University of North Carolina Wilmington since March 2023. Previously, Matthew served as an Adjunct Associate Cybersecurity Instructor at ThriveDX from November 2022 to October 2023, teaching various cybersecurity-related subjects. Matthew held roles at New Hanover County Schools as a Senior Area Network Coordinator and Area Network Coordinator from November 2021 to March 2023. Earlier experience includes positions as a Junior System Administrator at Markraft Cabinets, Cyber Security Analyst at ADG | Artisan Design Group, Brewer and Cellarperson at Flytrap Brewing, and Systems Administrator and General Manager at Planet Fitness. Matthew earned a Master of Science in Cybersecurity - IT Management and a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity from Southern New Hampshire University, as well as an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Bowling Green State University-Firelands.
