Stephan Ulrich

Stephan Ulrich is a seasoned professional in international development and policy, currently serving as a Partnership Portfolio Specialist at UNDP since February 2023, focusing on partnerships with Canada, the Netherlands, the United States, and co-leading initiatives in Australia and New Zealand. Previously, Stephan held the position of Senior Policy Officer at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) from January 2022 to January 2023, where responsibilities included multilateral aspects of migration and serving as the institutional lead for IOM and the Global Compact for Migration. From December 2017 to December 2021, Stephan worked as a Counsellor for Development and Economic Affairs at the Permanent Mission of Germany to the United Nations, representing Germany on various UN partnerships and negotiations. Additional experience includes serving as Personal Advisor to the Deputy Minister at BMZ and working as an independent Attorney at Law specializing in Media Law.
