Tehmina Akhtar

Tehmina Akhtar is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic advisory roles within the United Nations system, currently serving as Senior Strategic Advisor for the Regional Bureau for Arab States at UNDP since July 2021. Previously, Tehmina held the position of Deputy Director at the United Nations Capital Development Fund, where responsibilities included developing local economic programs aimed at sustainable development, with a focus on climate change and economic empowerment. Additionally, Tehmina's tenure at UNDP spanned over a decade, including significant contributions as Deputy Global Manager of the GEF Small Grants Programme, overseeing grant-making processes across 110 countries.
