David Bugden

David Bugden is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the field of law and refugee protection. Currently serving as a Senior Legal Advisor for the UNHCR in the East and Horn of Africa and Chad since November 2012, David has a rich history with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, holding positions as an HR Officer and Protection Officer from April 2004 to November 2012. Prior experience includes roles as an International Lawyer in Project Finance at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer from February 2001 to March 2004 and as a Lawyer at Linklaters from 1997 to 2000. David holds a Master of Arts in Law from the University of Cambridge and has foundational education from Chester College of Law and Nottingham High School.
