Matias Figliozzi is an accomplished entrepreneur and business leader with extensive experience in various sectors, particularly in biotechnology and ethical fashion. As Co-founder and CEO of Unibaio since May 2020, Matias has been instrumental in developing a biodegradable microparticle that significantly reduces the need for active ingredients in agricultural products. Previously, Matias served as a Producer at Wow! Innovación, managing business opportunities and overseeing a multimedia spinoff focused on entrepreneurship. Other roles include Business Development Manager at Fares Taie Biotech, Director-General of Commerce & Industry for the Municipality of General Pueyrredon, and key positions in organizations supporting local economic development and international trade. Matias holds a degree in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires and has participated in various programs to enhance entrepreneurial skills and technical knowledge.

At Unibaio we developed a biodegradable ingredient that optimize the delivery of agrochemicals to lower their application doses and toxicity levels. UNIBAIO's particles can be used by pesticides companies to modify their formulations to: 1) be approved by the strictest environmental regulations without replacing the chemicals being used by farmers, 2) reduce manual operation, lowering farmer's application costs, 3) improve yield & competitiveness. Our particles can be used in any kind of pesticide and fertilizers, from the traditional chemical ones to the bio/organic ones. Our nanocarriers are made of natural compounds like shrimp waste & clay using a circular model.
