Luigi Lauro has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. Luigi started their career as a freelance IT consultant in 1995, working with various technologies and programming languages. Luigi then gained experience as an analyst, developer, and project manager in companies such as Dialog Sistemi, Kemen S.r.l., and Rockol.com.
In 2007, they joined Verbano Consulting as a training expert and later worked as a senior developer at Rockol.com. Luigi also had a role as an account manager and architect at Euris.
From 2012 to 2016, Luigi worked as an IT architect and business specialist at UniCredit, focusing on market and counterparty risk projects. Luigi then became the software factory manager, responsible for building and managing a development competence center in Romania.
In 2018, Luigi became the head of big data services at UniCredit, and in 2020, they took on the role of head of big data and artificial intelligence services. Currently, they are the head of group audit IT governance, data lab and analytics testing, overseeing IT tools and data analytics platforms across the audit competence line.

Luigi Lauro attended Università degli Studi di Milano from 2000 to 2004, where they studied Scienze dell'informazione. Prior to that, from 1998 to 1999, they studied Ingegneria Informatica at Politecnico di Milano. Luigi Lauro also obtained a Diploma in Maturita' Classica from Liceo Classico e di Ricerca San Raffaele, where they studied from 1993 to 1998.
