Vindya Cooray

Vindya Cooray is the current CBO at Union Assurance. Prior to this, they were the Vice President Finance at Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts from May 2020 to June 2021. Before that, they were at APIIT Sri Lanka. Vindya also worked at John Keells Holdings PLC and SCB Corporate - Chartered Accountants as a Manager from December 2009 to January 2013. Additionally, they were a Visiting Lecturer at JAYASEKARA MANAGEMENT CENTRE - JMC from January 2009 to December 2014, teaching subjects such as Audit and Assurance, Economics, Management, and Business Communication. Her first job was as a Research Assistant at Nexus Research Group (Pvt) Ltd. from December 2006 to April 2007.

Vindya Cooray has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Colombo, and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (Sp. Business Economics) from the same school. Vindya also has an Accounting and Finance degree from CPA Australia Program, and an Accounting & Auditing degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. In addition, they have a JKH-NUS Advanced Leadership Programme from the National University of Singapore, and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from La Trobe University. Finally, they have an Accounting degree from AAT Sri Lanka, and a Commerce Stream (English Medium) degree from St. Lawrence's Convent - Colombo 06.
