Matthew Malatesta

VP For Admissions, Financial Aid And Enrollment at Union College

Matthew J. Malatesta ’91 was appointed vice president for Admissions, Financial Aid and Enrollment at Union in 2008.

He came to Union from Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y., where held numerous positions over eight years, including director of financial aid from 2005 to 2008. He also served as associate dean of Admissions and director of Admissions Information Systems, and assistant dean of admissions and director of the WAVE Program, an alumni admissions program.

Before that, he was director of admissions and a teacher at Holy Ghost Preparatory School in Bensalem, Pa., and a teacher and alumni director at the Darrow School in New Lebanon, N.Y.

Malatesta graduated from Union with a bachelor of arts in managerial economics, and he went on to earn a master of arts in teaching from Union Graduate College (now Clarkson University). A native of Pittsfield, Mass., he is an avid outdoors person with a passion for camping, canoeing, biking and hiking.
