Senior Energy Analyst; Manager, Energy And Water In A Warming World Initiative at Union Of Concerned Scientists

John Rogers has extensive experience in clean and renewable energy analysis and advocacy. Currently serving as a Senior Energy Analyst and Manager for the Energy and Water in a Warming World initiative at the Union of Concerned Scientists since November 2006, John focuses on electricity analysis and energy-water issues. Prior to this role, John directed rural and renewable energy consulting at Global Transition Consulting, Inc. from 1996 to 2006, and co-founded Soluz, Inc., where leadership spanned various aspects of U.S. initiatives. Earlier experience includes positions as a Renewable Energy Analyst at Dyncorp I&ET and intern at Sandia National Laboratories, as well as service as a Peace Corps Volunteer focusing on water, sanitation, and solar electrification. John holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Latin American History from Princeton University.
