Ali Altun

Ali Altun has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Starting in 2005, they worked as a Research and Development Engineer at the Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials until 2010. Ali then joined the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as a Visiting Researcher, where they worked until 2015. In 2016, they became a Senior Scientist at ETH Zürich, a position they held until 2019. Currently, they are the Chief Executive Officer of UNISERS Ltd, a role they have been in since May 2019.

Ali Altun completed their high school education at Izmir Fen Lisesi, receiving a High School Diploma in 1999. Ali then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University from 1999 to 2003. Following that, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology between 2003 and 2005. Finally, they went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nanotechnology with a focus on optical spectroscopy from ETH Zürich from 2010 to 2016.
