Jon Richards has a comprehensive background in labor relations and education spanning several decades. Currently serving as Assistant General Secretary at Unison since October 1993, Jon has held various significant roles within the organization, including National Secretary for Education and Local Government and Senior National Officer for the Education Workforce Section. Prior to Unison, Jon worked as an Industrial Relations Adviser at the British Association of Occupational Therapists Ltd and as an Office Administrator for the HIV Unit at the London Borough of Camden. Jon's career began as an Administrative Assistant at the National Centre for Social Research. Jon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology/Earth Science from King's College London.
