Mirchaye Negussie Shepard currently serves as a Grant Finance Officer at Unitaid since March 2022. Prior to this role, Mirchaye was the Head of Finance and Administration for the Ministry of Health and Social Services in Namibia, overseeing the financial management of Global Fund grants from October 2016 to June 2022, focusing on HIV, TB, and Malaria initiatives. Mirchaye held the position of Chief Financial Officer at United Africa Group from November 2009 to February 2013, where responsibilities included capacity building and financial leadership. Earlier experience includes working as an Audit Associate at PwC from August 2006 to September 2009, conducting audits for major petrochemical companies. Mirchaye holds a Master's degree in Accounting and Business/Management from the University of Houston.
