Robert Matiru

Robert Matiru is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in global health initiatives, particularly in the areas of HIV/TB grant management and pandemic response. Currently serving as the Director of the Programme Division and Team Leader for the HIV/TB Grant Portfolio at UNITAID, Robert Matiru has previously held significant roles including Coordinator of the WHO Polio Emergency Action Plan and Manager for the Inception Phase of the WHO Program of Reform. Additional experience includes leadership positions at the WHO Kobe Centre and as Chief Operating Officer for the Global Drug Facility, where strategic sourcing and procurement were key responsibilities. Robert Matiru holds a Master's Degree in International Development from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs and a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations from The University of British Columbia.
