John McCaffrey Jr. CEBS, GBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has extensive experience in the field of Human Resources. John started their career at LSG Sky Chefs in 1999 as a Recruitment, Retention, and Development/Human Resources Manager in the Northeast Region. In this role, John was responsible for implementing recruitment and leadership development activities for 10 airline-catering facilities across 3 states. John also designed a culinary internship program and managed the regional safety and wellness program.

In 2005, John moved on to work at UNITE HERE as a Human Resources Director. Here, they played a crucial role in establishing a collaborative Human Resources Department that worked with the union's leadership, administrative staff, and program staff to develop and implement HR strategies and programs. John provided strategic counseling to the Secretary-Treasurer and senior leadership, as well as initiated and implemented various HR-related programs. John also coached employees and management on disciplinary processes and conflict resolution.

John McCaffrey Jr. studied Political Science and Government at Queens College. John obtained several certifications throughout their career, including the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) from ISCEBS in 2006 and the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in 2003 and again in 2016. John also obtained the SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM in 2013.
