Jim Gillman has an extensive engineering background with over three decades of experience in the aerospace and defense industries. Currently serving as Chief Engineer for Systems Analysis at United Launch Alliance (ULA) since October 2006, Jim has held multiple leadership roles, including Senior Manager in various engineering disciplines and Chief Engineer for Product Lifecycle Management. Prior to ULA, Jim worked at Lockheed Martin in managerial and senior technical specialist roles, and gained early experience at Boeing Helicopters, McDonnell Aircraft, and Newport News Shipbuilding. Jim holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Mechanics from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. Additionally, Jim has managed the Technical Fellowship program at ULA and chaired the Intellectual Property Advisory Council.
