Tanja Brøndsted Sejersen

Tanja Brøndsted Sejersen is a skilled statistician with extensive experience in civil registration and vital statistics, currently serving as the Statistician and CRVS Lead at the United Nations ESCAP since October 2022. Previously, Tanja held several positions at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, including Focal Point for the regional CRVS initiative and Associate Statistician. Tanja also contributed as a Statistics Specialist on loan to UNICEF, focusing on administrative data improvement for better child outcomes. Earlier roles include Associate Social Affairs Officer at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia and Senior Researcher at the National Centre for Social Research. Tanja's academic background includes a Master's degree in Economic Demography from Lund University and a Bachelor's degree in Economics & Social Science from the University of Sydney.
