Vinod Mishra

Vinod Mishra currently serves as a Senior Advisor for Country Support and Population Policies at the United Nations, a position held since March 2010. His previous roles at the United Nations include Chief of Migration and Urbanization and Chief of the Policy Section. Prior to joining the United Nations, Vinod held the position of Director of Research & Senior Adviser at Macro International Inc and worked as a Theme Leader & Fellow at the East-West Center. Vinod's early career includes roles as a Research Officer at the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare and a Research Analyst at the Institute of Economic Growth. Academically, Vinod possesses a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Population and Environment, along with multiple master’s degrees in Public Health, Sociology, and Statistics, all obtained from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and other notable institutions.
