Mun Yew Chew

Mun Yew Chew serves as the Head of UOB Private Bank since December 2021 and is also an Adjunct Professor at Singapore Management University. Previously, Mun Yew held the position of Managing Director, Group Head Greater China at Julius Baer from December 2017 to November 2021 and was the Managing Director, Country Head Taiwan, as well as Chief Risk Manager at UBS Wealth Management from January 2012 to December 2017. Early career roles include Senior Executive Vice President at The Carlyle Group, where responsibilities included Chief Operating Officer and Strategy Head at Ta Chong Bank, and SVP of Consumer Banking at DBS Bank, focusing on strategy and business transformation. Significant experience in regulatory affairs includes serving as Deputy Director at the Monetary Authority of Singapore and leading government affairs for American Express in the Asia Pacific & Japan region. Mun Yew holds multiple degrees in Philosophy from the National University of Singapore and the University of Oxford, as well as an MBA in Finance and Strategy from INSEAD.
