United Structural is an American structural and miscellaneous steel detailing company that has been serving steel fabricator across the United States since 2013. Most of our staff has had experience in the shop and field, and knows what it takes to get the job done in today's construction industry. We do not subcontract or hire anyone from outside the United States. Our mission is to build a better detailer. In order to achieve this mission, we strive constantly to mentor and improve our staff through weekly team training meetings and monthly Lunch and Learn sessions with our Team Leaders. Our industry requires a lifetime dedicated to learning and we would much rather see a detailer with 40 years' experience than someone with 1 year's experience repeated 40 times. We realize that if the detailers of today do not spend the time to train and develop the detailers of tomorrow, the steel construction industry will be in jeopardy as more and more fabricators will be forced to shift to hiring overseas detailing companies that offer attractive low prices at bid time but often end up costing project owners and other stakeholders more time and money in the long run due to their poor workmanship and communication. We often are introduced to new clients through "rescue work", where we are called in to take on and correct a project that was botched by an overseas detailing company. The fabricator comes away with a better understanding of the value that we provide and reaches out to us first on upcoming projects. United Structural recognized the benefits of remote work right from our founding and has been 100% remote since before it was cool. Our staff work from the comfort of their homes on high-end gaming PCs with multiple 4k monitors and other workflow tools. We know that giving a detailer the right tools will allow them to reach their productivity potential and having the ability to enjoy some PC games in their off-time is not a bad perk either! Our detailing team has over 200 years combined experience in commercial, industrial, residential, state and bridge projects. There are only a handful of states in which we have not performed work and our goal is to reduce that number to zero within the next 2 years. And yes, Alaska and Hawaii are already crossed off that list!
