John Hess

John Hess serves as the Executive Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary at United Therapeutics Corporation since June 2010. In this role, John oversees general in-house legal responsibilities, including securities law, corporate governance, contracts, compliance, and intellectual property transactions. John has significant experience advising the Board of Directors and its committees. Prior to this position, John held several roles at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP from October 2002 to June 2010, including Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel. John began the legal career as an Associate Attorney in Washington, D.C. John holds a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce/Finance from the University of Virginia.
