United Way of the Midlands
Peggy Harvey is an experienced accounting professional currently serving as Accountant II at United Way of the Midlands since June 2021. Prior to this role, Peggy worked as an Independent Contractor for Administrative Solutions, Inc. from March 2007 to June 2021 and held the position of Finance Manager at the Council Bluffs Area Chamber of Commerce from July 2018 to October 2020. Peggy’s extensive background includes positions such as Business Manager at Mosaic, Finance Coordinator at Northern Ponca Housing Authority, and Administrative Director at Employment Works, Inc., where responsibilities encompassed accounting transactions, grant management, policy implementation, and business restructuring. Peggy began their career in real estate as a Realtor at Hometown Properties, Inc. and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Finance from Wayne State College and an Associate of Arts in Accounting from Northeast Community College.

For nearly 100 years, United Way of the Midlands has served the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro by bridging the business and not-for-profit sectors to create a Circle of Support that helps our neighbors overcome difficult challenges and start building a better future. UWM’s funded programs and direct services address social and economic disparities and meet families’ essential needs such as healthy food, safe and stable housing, physical and mental health services, career preparation and job training. United Way works closely with the agencies that host the programs to note measurable results in the lives of their clients. And we collaborate with many individual and corporate donors and foundations to keep the network of hope strong.
